Transformation: a change or alteration, especially a radical one.
“Practice is the hardest part of learning, and training is the essence of transformation.” Ann Voskamp
Photos in this post were all taken by me during Art Basel 2011. These are the Wynwood Walls.
The Wynwood Walls was conceived by developer, Tony Goldman, back in 2009 with the goal of transforming run down warehouse district located in east central Miami into an art district.
The project has brought some of the best artists from around the world who work in the graffiti and street art genre.
About Wynwood:
The Old San Juan section of Wynwood, commonly known as el "Barrio" is the center of Puerto Rican culture and social activity. Roberto Clemente Park, named for one of Puerto Rico's greatest baseball stars, is a popular spot in the heart of this neighborhood and also the home of the first Water Playground in the City of Miami.
I guess it would only be natural for my first exhibit to take place there.
